The third fruit of the Holy Spirit listed in the Scriptures is peace. Through the Holy Spirit God pours His divine attribute of peace into your spirit, which translates to a sense of fulfillment, well-being, and overall tranquility of soul. People today are living stressful lives in constant turmoil due to the increased level of violence, terrorism and adversity of every kind. We need to pray for God’s peace to flow into our mind, soul and emotions. No matter what happens in this world we have the certainty of eternal life in heaven because of our trust in God through Jesus Christ.
Phil 4:7 – And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Rom 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
2 Pet 1:2 – Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
Rom 8:1 – There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
When Jesus indwells the believer He pours His divine attribute of peace into their hearts and minds, giving them the peace of God which does indeed surpass all understanding. Their souls overflow with the blessed hope that is in them which is eternal life in heaven through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Increase in the knowledge of God through prayer and studying the Holy Bible every day.
