As believers we’re all commanded by God to do good works. The number one good work for God is sharing the gospel message of Jesus Christ with nonbelievers. That’s primarily why God left us on this earth after our salvation. Based on our personality and individual makeup we all must decide how we’re going to obey God. Failure to witness for Christ is not an option if we want to please God and earn rewards in heaven. We are accountable to God.
We’ve all seen those people standing on a street corner waving their Bibles at passing cars as they preach the gospel. We all drive by and shake our heads as we chuckle to ourselves. We’ve seen people in public areas sharing the gospel with passers-by and we smile. People tend to think those people are a little crazy. When I see those people witnessing for Christ in obedience to God I’m irresistibly drawn to them. I always have a kind word for them. I admire them for their courage. I see their passion for God. I know I’m a coward for not joining them on the stump. However, we must each please God in our own way.
For me, I decided to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ primarily in two ways. The Holy Spirit prompted me to study God’s word and write about it. That eventually evolved into www.onemoreforjesus.net, my Christian blog site. Christian blogging is simply another name for “passively” witnessing for Christ. I’ve been blogging for two and a half years now and todays blog posting is number 594. As I’ve studied God’s word over time and shared my thoughts my blogs have gotten longer, averaging eight pages now, and each blog now takes me an average of one week to complete. I’ll always continue to blog because it’s a labor of love. Christian blogging for a believer is like giving a glass of cold water to a thirsty man.
The reason for my blog today is to inform my audience my blog rate will decrease on this site because I’m going to split my time going forward between this blog site and my other avenue for sharing the gospel message of Christ, which is distributing Christian tracts. I’ve been handing out Christian tracts for over seven years, which is a lot longer than I’ve been blogging. I’ve handed out well over 3000 Christian tracts but it’s not enough. I want to do more witnessing so I’m starting a new blog site for this purpose. I want to leverage the use of Christian tracts to reach a greater number of nonbelievers. I encourage you to check out christiantractministry.com and follow my blog posts concerning witnessing using Christian tracts. The state of Texas just approved my company, Christian Tract Ministry LLC, as a nonprofit charity. My walk with God continues into a new and expanded ministry; come join me and let’s share the gospel message of Jesus Christ together.
