New Beginnings (#1)

Saying your Bible affirmations in prayer before God is the best way to glorify God on many levels. When you speak God’s word (Bible verses) back to him God is glorified. When you verbally affirm to God in prayer that you’ll obey the commandments of God; again, God is glorified. And finally, when you do what you say you’ll do God is glorified and he will bless you and sanctify you for your obedience. Bible affirmations also help us train our “inner spirit man.” When we speak something repeatedly our mind accepts it as the truth and tries to act on that information; to make it a reality in our lives. All Bible affirmations are very personal to the person praying them and they are meant to glorify God and help us keep our “eyes on Jesus.” Bible affirmations remind us who we are and what we must do to please God; plus they help us monitor our progress during our race before the Lord.

My Bible affirmations reveal who I am. They tell the readers what my goals are and why. My Bible affirmations explain exactly how I plan to please God. Everyone has to decide how they will serve God and to what degree. I’ve meditated on the magnitude and majesty of Almighty God and I’ve decided how I’ll fulfill God’s salvation plan for my life. You do the same. I’ve made no secret that my ultimate goal is to save “many” nonbelievers to heaven and I define many as one thousand. I will fulfill Daniel 12:3, by saving “many” lost souls to heaven. I will shine like the stars in the firmament according to Daniel 12:3, and God cannot lie. I’m not sure what that means but I know it’ll be good.

God has answered my prayers and confirmed to me that saving one thousand nonbelievers to heaven qualifies as many in his eyes. Everyone should be aiming for this goal. In my twenty years of serving God, I’ve saved over one hundred nonbelievers to heaven. I’m nowhere close to saving one thousand people to heaven but I’ll never stop trying while I have breath in me. Saving one thousand people to heaven isn’t impossible but, it is very hard. You’ll have to plan your “good works” and leverage your witness for Christ. Your task is to commit to God and run your race before the Lord with tenacity and purpose; and with your, “eyes on Jesus.”

What started as a yearly update of my existing Bible affirmations ended up being a total overhaul. It took a couple of months. I deleted many Bible verses and added others. Bible affirmations are meant to grow and evolve as we mature in our faith. I made sure my new affirmations addressed the Bible verses being quoted, which has made them longer than before. I’ve gone from over sixty affirmations down to 36. I’ve broken my Bible affirmations down into 5-6 affirmations per day for seven days (a total of 36). Before, when I was speaking twelve Bible affirmations per day in prayer it became time-consuming and it was hard on my voice; but 5-6 affirmations are not a problem for me. As I said earlier, Bible affirmations are very personal to each individual and they reflect our goals and aspirations in service to Almighty God. I’m presenting my updated Bible affirmations to my readers as my testimony about God and as an example to be followed. My new Bible affirmations are a “new beginning” for me in 2025. Come join me in service to the Lord.

DAY ONE BIBLE VERSES:

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

MY AFFIRMATION:

God, I thank you for making me and loving me. Lord, I thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross in my place, so my sins could be forgiven by a loving and merciful God. Thank you Holy Father for saving me unto eternal life in heaven in your presence through my confession of faith in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I will share the gospel message of Christ with nonbelievers all the days of my life.

BIBLE VERSES:

Colossians 3:10 – (Believers) have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.

Romans 12:2 – And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

MY AFFIRMATION:

When I was a nonbeliever I was conformed to this world. That is no longer the case because I am a “new” man because God has given me a “new” spirit. I have been saved unto eternal life in heaven by accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I am still in the world but not part of it. My citizenship is in heaven. I am constantly renewing my mind by studying God’s word for knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. As I absorb God’s wisdom every day I’m transformed into an obedient servant of Almighty God. I emulate Jesus Christ in everything I do. I will “witness for Christ” and save many nonbelievers to the kingdom of heaven for it is the acceptable, perfect will of God.

BIBLE VERSES:

Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Psalm 138:8 – The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; your mercy O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of your hands.

MY AFFIRMATION:

Lord, thank you for saving me unto eternal life in heaven. I go where the Holy Spirit leads me because the Holy Spirit directs my footsteps to fulfill God’s pleasure. I’m a disciple of Christ and I walk in obedience to the commandments of God. I work in God’s harvest field to fulfill the Great Commission that Jesus gave to his disciples, which is to witness for Christ to all nations and all people. My trust is in the Lord. I will obey my God always!

BIBLE VERSES:

2 Timothy 2:21 – Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter (dishonor/sin), he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

1 Peter 1:17 – And if you call on the Father, who without penalty judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear.

Hebrews 6:10 – For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

MY AFFIRMATION:

I have been indwelt by the Holy Spirit since the age of twelve when I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. My body, this tent, has been cleansed and is now a holy vessel useful for the good works God has given me to do. I will share my witness for Christ with believers and nonbelievers alike; exhorting them to save lost souls to heaven. I will worship my God always, asking for his wisdom and his help in saving nonbelievers to heaven. My time to do “good works” for God on this earth is very short, therefore my mantra every day is to save “one more for Jesus.” On the last day, when I stand before the bema judgment seat of Jesus Christ, I pray that my body of work on earth will glorify God in heaven and be pleasing in his sight.

BIBLE VERSES:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of god in Christ Jesus for you.

Psalm 5:11 – But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.

Psalm 40:16 – Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in you; let such as love You salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!”

MY AFFIRMATION:

Daily I will rejoice that the Lord is my God. For you have made me O Lord, and saved me unto eternal life in heaven in your presence. I will pray without ceasing, giving you the praise of my lips for your love, mercy, and grace toward your servant. Lord, I thank you for your guardian angels who watch over me. My gladness and joy in the Lord is complete because the Holy Spirit is inside me. Before the throne of grace, I will say continually, “The Lord be magnified always, even forever!”
